Given For- Outstanding service to Veterans through the execution of duties carried out as an elected political office holder.
2013 Awardee- Asm. Roger Dickinson
Assemblymember Dickinson has worked tirelessly within the Greater Sacramento Region for Veterans his entire political career. He has aided in the different County efforts as a Member of the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors and continued such efforts with his service as an Assemblymember since 2010. He formed the first Veterans Advisory Committee within his district office and was successful in uniting the different Veterans Organizations of the district together for the common good.

2012 Awardee- Sacramento Valley Veterans
When this club was first getting up and running, it was given a major hand up by the efforts of the Sacramento Valley Veterans and the different ways they took our goals and purpose and ensured that it was well broadcast. Their help was invaluable to the success of the club's inaugural year.

2012 Awardee- Michael D. Williams
In connection with the efforts of the SVV mentioned above, Michael D. Williams performed a great deal of invaluable service to the club within moments of learning about it. His efforts and promotion of the new club brought us to new heights and truly set our place with the Veteran community of Sacramento County.

2012 Awardee- Andres Ramos
Andres Ramos was able to take the brand new club and make it relevant to the different candidates running for the different offices in the Sacramento County. His efforts in several clubs for endorsement processes resulted in the creation of one of the most fair and transparent processes in the county for the endorsement of one's candidacy. His efforts assisted us in putting this club on the map and getting candidates to ensure that they became educated on the issues most important to the veteran community.

2012 Awardee- Michael Seaman
Michael Seaman took the task of helping create a platform for the club to have as its guidelines for the next two years and turned it into a truly representative and comprehensive effort. His help was invaluable in helping the club set its first platform and his work will serve as an example for many in the years to come.

Given For- Outstanding exemplification of the American Veteran through actions of advocacy and positive benefit to the furthering of the Veterans Causes.
2012 Awardee- Ty Redhouse
Ty Redhouse spent the year as the President of the Sacramento Valley Veterans, working for the Department of Veterans Affairs, securing legislation that returned California State Veterans benefits to the different personnel of the military who were discharged under DADT and helped the DemVets continue to launch themselves to the Veterans community.

2012 Awardee- Asm. Richard Pan
With the passage of ground breaking legislation that restores benefits at the state level to those Veterans discharged under DADT and service as the Vice Chair of the Veterans Committee of the State Assembly, Dr. Richard Pan has more than served this community, he has ensured that priority remains where it should- keeping the issues of Veterans forefront.

2012 Awardee- Gabriel Medina
Once Gabriel Medina was aware of the club, he took it upon himself to ensure that the club got involved in helping to bring our efforts a step further and ensure that a political voice was always available for the Veterans and Veterans Organizations in the 9th Assembly District (Becomes 7th AD in January 2013). Gabriel brought the President of the club on board as an Intern and worked with him to establish the Veterans Advisory Committee, which provides each Veterans Organization with the chance to send a representative on a monthly basis to speak directly with the Assemblymember's office in ways they never had available before.
